Jamar Boone was born in 1980 to Brenda Ann Boone, a young single parent in Harlem, Florida. Growing up without a father in a poverty stricken neighborhood that offered limited resources and employment, Jamar turned to his grandmother, Clara Bell Boone for moral guidance and support. Naturally athletic, Jamar immersed himself in sports and excelled in football where he helped lead his team to a spectacular victory.

After graduating high school, Jamar got married and settled down to raise three children in Rochester, MN. It was during this time that he began to explore the wetlands near his home and developed an interest in different soils. He started excavating and extracting “Muck”, a rich organic soil derived from the natural swamps and lakes where plants decompose over thousands of years and mix with natural earth minerals.

Jamar used this rich soil in his own garden where he tested it with many different edible and non-edible plant species. Comparing his harvest with previous years, the results were amazing! All of his vegetables grew faster and larger than previous years’ harvests. The grass lawn he had tended to came out thick and dark green in color. Jamar had truly found the ultimate plant fertilizer and MuckSota Topsoil was born.
